About the Position: Labor & Delivery RN | Full Time | Days
The Labor and Delivery RN assists with all aspects of pregnancy and childbirth in antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients. The L & D Registered Nurse will conduct prenatal visits, teach childbirth preparation classes, monitor contractions and fetal heartbeat during labor, administer medications, and assist with any complications that arise. You will also provide accurate assessment, interventions, and documentation to patient undergoing medical screening to determine stage of labor during L&D Triage. If an obstetrical patient needs surgery, you will be responsible for preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care of that patient. Following delivery, you will perform tests on the newborn and guide the mother through recovery and infant care.

The Women & Infant Pavilion includes 39 private rooms and couplet care, where families can stay together, as well as a state of the art NICU and three surgery suites. In 2015, we were named a Baby-Friendly Hospital, which supports breastfeeding and mother-baby bonding.

BLS and ACLS certification
PALS certification (within 6 months of hire)
Annual Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Certification, at first available hospital training class
