About the Position: Registered Nurse | Full Time | Days

A Clinical Nurse focuses on providing care for patients from the moment they arrive at the clinic to deliver short- and long-term care. The Registered Nurse will work closely with doctors, specialists, and other care providers to provide the highest quality care to patients. A Clinical Nurse is expected to collect patient information, evaluate the patient's condition, administer treatment and medications, and educate their patients. The Registered Nurse provides accurate assessment and documentation of all the patient’s needs within an appropriate time frame for the patient’s needed level of care. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are vital for an RN to work with patients and their families. Antelope Valley Hospital also supports new grads by offering new grad training as appropriate.

Requirements

  • Current California Registered Nurse license

  • One year Registered Nurse experience

  • BLS and ACLS certification

  • PALS certification (within 6 months of hire)

  •  

    Annual Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Certification, at first available hospital training class

    Annual Restraint Certification

  • Annual JCAHO Review/Competencies
