About the Position: CT Tech | Full Time | Various Shift/On-call
The CT Technician coordinates and performs diagnostic CT exams to ensure the quality and continuity of patient care, and assist with the management of the workflow of the department to ensure the completion of work assignments and ensure the proper patient charge.
Job functions include, but not limited to:
- Performs all radiographic CT examinations according to Vail Health protocols
- Demonstrates use of radiation safety practices when using the CT equipment
- Maintains knowledge of all CT examinations
- Demonstrates ability to utilize high pressure injector
- Demonstrates ability to utilize 3D computer equipment
- Performs all general diagnostic radiology examinations
- Perform other duties as assigned. Must be HIPAA compliant.
The Imaging Unit at Edwards' Clinic
Vail Health Edwards' Clinic's registered CT technologists were thoroughly trained to use this powerful diagnostic tool. They are able to perform very complex studies including detailed cardiac imaging. The outstanding image quality has improved clinicians' ability to more accurately diagnose disease at an early stage using a fraction of the radiation used by traditional CT scanners.
Services at the Imaging Unit includes:
- Walk-in X-rays
- Scheduled CTs
- Ultrasounds
- Pet/CT Scanning
Shift
- Days, Various Shifts/On-call
Requirements
- Experience:
- One year of experience preferred, experience in a healthcare setting required.
- Certification(s):
-
Basic Life Support (BLS) by American Heart Association required.

American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. (ARRT) required.

ARRT Computer Tomography (CT) Credential required.
