About the Position

The Cardiopulmonary RN follows patients from diagnosis through treatment of various cardiac conditions. An RN in this setting will work in the Cardiac Clinic supervising stress testing and applying Holter monitors. If medically indicated, patients are treated in GCRMC’s Cath Lab and referred to the outpatient Cardiac Rehab program. During Cardiac Rehab exercise sessions the RN will work closely with rehab patients monitoring them and encouraging them to improve their cardiorespiratory strength and endurance. Our goal is to help patients return to their pre-event fitness level-or even exceed it!

As a subsidiary of GCRMC, Alamogordo Cardiology partnered with the medical team of Southwest Heart P.C. to provide comprehensive Cardiology Services, including a 24-hour Cardiac Cath Lab, to our community. Since 2015, our Cardiac Cath Lab has treated over 1,000 patients and will continue to offer exceptional heart care. Our experienced cardiologists are prepared to offer preventative care and treat long-term heart conditions with:

Consultation
Echocardiography
Holter Monitor
Stress Test
Permanent Pacemaker Implant
Vascular Ultrasound Studies
Invasive Procedures
EKG

Qualifications/Requirements

Graduate from Accredited School of Nursing (RN), with valid board licensure
1-2 years of experience required
BLS within one month of employment.
ACLS within 6 months of employment

Shift schedule

Days: 7:30 AM to 4 PM

Hourly Wages range from $24.95 to $34.81*
- Range is based on experience, education and certifications
  - *$34.81 reflects 10yrs experience and a BSN
- Differentials are in addition to these rates
